Why HR will never be the same again - What I learned from Tim Ringo

In the past year, under Smart Events umbrella we organized the workshop "Modern HR Masterclass for 21st century Managers" in several countries in Central and Eastern Europe.

These workshops were visited by managers and HR professionals by some of the leading regional companies, such as: Telenor, Rompetrol, Coca Cola, Nestle, Nelt, Phoenix Pharm, Opportunity Savings House, Gas Industry Serbia, Kellog, Sanofi, Banka Transilvania, Johnson Controls, DHL etc. and their active discussions and contributions were one of the biggest values of the event!

I'm sharing with you what I personally found most intriguing and interesting as part of discussions:

  • HR Managers in the region are struggling, but many of them succeeding in achieving the role of "Partners" to top management and main advisors in making company's most crucial decisions.
  • As one of workshop participants, from production company said "HR analytics is becoming as important as financial analytics. We'd be completely lost without it".
  • "The Millennial", the newly integrated workforce are actually not much different (not that difficult to engage and motivate), i.e. "not that bad" contrary to the popular opinion. Supported by research from his new book, Tim Ringo shares how "21. century people will save the world".
  • Increasing people's productivity is not a stigma, and HR can take a leading role in increasing performance, given the tools of modern HR systems. Today, it's easier than ever.
  • Living in a more connected, collaborative, 'democratic' environment, we need to change the way we identify and look at Talent.
