Why HoReCa needs robots?
Nowadays the gastro industry faces three big challenges:
## Personnel shortage
The food&beverage industry suffers from a lack of manpower. Usually, it's hard to find bar personnel that sticks. The rotation is high and motivation low, most people treat this kind of job as temporary.
After lockdowns, a lot of employees have changed their profession not willing to sit and wait for the lockdowns to end.
Unfortunately, this is not a temporary situation. According to Eurostat European demographic future means a greying population. That means fewer and fewer people willing to work physically.
## Raising costs
Apart from the high cost of training an employee regarding a high rotation ratio additional worries for bar owners comes from the law. The Polish Government is raising the minimum wage twice this year and is planning to rise it more in upcoming years.
## Manual processes
The HoReCa industry relies on manual operations. People reach for the glass, flush it with water and clean the tap by hand. How much energy and water does it take to serve one consumer? Who knows. One can measure this process from time to time, but cannot run live data acquisition of a manual procedure. Peter Drucker is often quoted as saying, "You can't manage what you can't measure."
