Why hire a communication coach?

What can you expect as an outcome of working with me?

One of my clients confessed she froze whenever she was in meetings with her leadership. "I'll be in the middle of a conversation," she said, " and someone else will talk right over me. I just wind up staying quiet."

She would then ruminate and beat herself up for what she thought she should have said.

What was the problem? She didn’t have the confidence to express herself and communicate clearly. Afterwards, she would ruminate and beat herself up- she wanted to be 100% perfect.

She didn’t know how to effectively express her expertise either.

Here’s what we did to change her results:

• We worked together 1:1, both in-person and virtually. I always like to see someone eye to eye- it makes a real difference.
• I worked with her to improve her presence, body language and how to express herself and work out her message. We even used self-videos as a tool.
• I assigned homework! This was an excellent way to be able to apply what we discussed. We started with a presentation she was working on already.
• Then, we refined it. This is key- I showed her how to focus in and learn exactly what to say and how to say it, in any communication.
• She recorded herself speaking and I worked with her to improve her presence, body language and how to express herself to clearly convey her message.

What was her result?

She can now confidently contribute to meetings with her leadership team and clearly convey her message.

And, best of all, her sense of dread has virtually disappeared! She can now confidently contribute to meetings, no matter who else is in the room.
