Creating a blog and writing content allows you to share thoughts and information about your product or services but as well it allows you to share your views, opinions, and thoughts on certain topics. Blogging is a great way to create a brand identity for your company and makes your business more credible and approachable.
One of the main tools any marketeer should practice daily is content creation and populating content on the digital channels working on, and It will help drive traffic to your website. User behavior changed in the last 5 years, now your customers are more educated than ever, and they are willing to use or/and try a product or a service from a vendor who adds to their knowledge and treats them in a good way - mentally -.
And yes for sure it’s important to look at the length of a blog compared to the topic you are discussing to ensure you’re fully covering the topic and meeting the length that will help you rank on (SERPs). But I like to provide enough information to the readers regardless of the length, but keeping the length acceptable as well. This way, you are creating not just useful content, but also you are providing great brand awareness with little to no effort at all. Keep in mind that consumers don’t have much time to read blogs, so it’s important to find what will relate to them to keep them on the page.
The next noticeable thing is that good content generates leads. Yes, it actually does. Remember at the beginning I told you that readers or customers are now more and more educated, these educated customers will value your efforts and content when making a purchase decision, and they convert faster than new cold leads. In addition, It drives long-term results as customers and readers keep coming back to get more and more of the data you are providing whether about your product or service or about the general topics you are writing about. That is another thing that you should consider, writing about the domain you operate in general as a part of your awareness efforts. Over time, slowly reminding consumers of your brand through your content can help convert readers to long-term customers.
On another note, your content can provide answers to the most common questions a website user has. Companies with blogs explaining common questions often offer superior user experiences to their customers. Customers on sites with blogs don’t have to inquire to the company with their common questions and wait for a response. The information is immediate and easy to find on its own.
For the SEO efforts, it’s so obvious that Blogging helps with link building, and that will increase the rank and reach if you apply good SEO practices. The content you post on your blog and articles can be repurposed for the social media channels you use.
According to Google Trends, content marketing and blogging will merge at some point, although the focus is now shifting to content as a whole.
Research shows that around 80% of companies prefer to have an advertisement in the form of a series of articles instead of the traditional "buy now" agenda.
