Human beings are hard wired to process visual stimuli.
Written communication is a relatively new phenomena and the ability to read and write across most of the population is even newer still. The human drive to make meaning and communicate has always existed, but we have accelerated?written communication from the printing press and typewriter through to the mass media and digital communication channels we have access to in a modern world.
The modern world increases the ease of communication in many ways, but it is not without its challenges. There is no longer a lack of information on any subject, however we now face the challenge of sorting quality from quantity in the information we absorb and we need to cut through as signal from noise in a way that allows our audience to understand our message; as we intended to send it.
When we are concerned with?business communication, the task becomes even more complex as?meaning must be syndicated?across different types of people (senders and receivers) who have diverse backgrounds and who work in different areas of a business and who perform different activities within that business.
Most businesses will have an organisational chart that orientates team members about where they fit into a hierarchical structure, who they report to and who reports to them. Job descriptions might detail what an employee is responsible to do, but not?necessarily?how it fits in to the broader organisational goals or operations.

A Visual Business Framework is different. It is a pictorial process of how operations and activities occur in a business and when they occur based on established customer pathways. So, why have one?
1. Clarity - A Visual Business Framework cuts through confusion and provides the architecture for every person and activity in a business to fit and to focus. In many organisations, the team members will have a diverse range of cultural and educational backgrounds so a concise expression of how the entire business operates in a visual one-page diagram provides rapid orientation and clarity about the organisation and its outcomes.
2. Cohesion – A Visual Business Framework provides an architecture for the entire business and orientates people to the broader activities and outcomes of the organisation. The architecture allows team members to understand each stage of operations and to comprehend the “something” bigger that they are each a part of at the business. A Visual Business Framework will also help all team members understand how each team member contributes to the overall outcome, and how their individual productivity impacts the whole of business.
3. Consistency – If operations are consistent and simplified, they are easily duplicated and replicated – which is the precise definition of a successful organisation.
Each module or milestone within the model or architecture of A Visual Business Framework hosts communication assets and work practice systems that are able to be isolated and optimised, making them eligible for continuous improvement activities that do not cause the balance of operations to slow or stop. A Visual Business framework allows you to continually build a better business and adapt to new markets and new climates with ease.
