Why They Hate Trump (& misunderstand MAGA)

Why They Hate Trump (& misunderstand MAGA)

Not you. I’m not talking about why Individuals dislike the man (not necessarily his policy proposals).

??No, I’m talking about why elected officials and the leaches that live off of them and the “system” hate Trump.

??It’s a very important distinction.

?Individuals dislike trump for honest reasons. He’s rude, uncouth, divisive, incendiary, a misogynist, combative, etc.

???Those are honest reasons and honest feelings as far as individuals are concerned.

?Now, hear me on this, most elected officials hate him for entirely different reasons.

???To understand this, you need to understand the game & the roles being played.?

??You are not in the game. No, you are in the bleachers.?

??The competitors are Red & Blue, Democrats & Republicans.

??Now pay attention! The “ball” is where they want your focus!?

??Why? There is no clock, no end of the game, and no damn salary cap.

??So, if you care about the ball and which direction it’s moving more than actually winning the game, they get to stay in the arena in perpetuity absorbing the spotlight and gifts from sponsors.??Do you see it yet?

??The ball is simply “wedge issues “that I call political footballs.

??Abortion, immigration, border security, government spending priorities, etc. It’s an exhaustive list that most voters want real solutions implemented for.?

??The truth is that there are people have been voted into office on the backs of promises to address the issues. Once in office many of them only want to show “progress” towards potential solutions. It’s always just out of reach. They need “one more term” to get it done.

??That’s the game. Often the two teams are not even working against each other. They are just giving we spectators a show as they wink and nod at each other.

??They even typically decide which team members they will put up as team captain for us to select as team leader (president).?

??Those are the established rules and structure of the game.

??Enter, Donald J Trump.??He wasn’t a sponsored team member. He didn’t promise to follow the rules of the game or even to really join a team.??He was never supposed to be team captain. Once appointed by the loathed mob (primary voters), he certainly couldn’t beat the other team’s captain. Could he??

??Then it happened. After trash talking the rigged game and the sham rules, he won.?

?He trashed players from both teams, exposed the rigged game, and refused to play ball in the traditional sense.?

??It was so shocking that no one inside that halls of power or the parasites that live off of our tax dollars there (media & lobbyists), had considered it a possibility.

?And it happened!?

?Almost immediately players from both teams and the referees started trying to undermine the new leader. Invalidating an election, stonewalling of agendas, inventing things to support sham impeachments, constant investigations, etc.

??Democrats & a few Republicans even attempted what was essentially a coup (Webster’s definition- a sudden decisive exercise of force in politics and especially the violent overthrow or alteration of an existing government by a small group) with the Russian Collision Hoax impeachment.??The thought was that they would at least make him spend his political capital on defending himself.?

??Surely this new outsider could be brought to heel with legislative and legal threats but alas, he remained boisterously recalcitrant.

??This only served to fuel the rage against him and his most loyal supporters who were further joined to him in loyalty as a result of these efforts.

??Trumps refusal to play by the rules of the game is the very thing that draws his supporters to him.

?The thinking is that if they destroy him or imprison him, the movement will fracture & dissipate.?

??Additionally, there are those on his own team that are all too eager to try to become a new standard bearer for Trump's voters and loyal followers. This is likely wish-casting at best.

??“Trump” is a single syllable word that has become inextricably joined to MAGA which so many seem to forget only stands for “Make America Great Again”.

??Therein lies the problem for those so fervently attacking Trump and wishing he would go away. This movement that Trump gave voice & slogan to, predates him and it’s not going to go away if you take the man down.

You can’t destroy ideas.?

???Read that again!

??We should have learned that lesson from “the war on terror”. When you attack movements and ideologies that are rooted in feelings of resistance, revolution, and deep cultural values you actually help them become entrenched and grow when macro conditions cause other segments of the public to identify with them.

??Waging a De facto “War on Terror” against our own citizens because they complain at school board meetings, distrust government, demand government transparency, advocate for law & order, and act patriotically will only grow MAGA into a larger mainstream movement than it already was.??

?Maybe the slogan will change but sentiment will not.?

?As long as prominent public figures and bureaucrats continue to openly attack, denigrate, and defame people that hold relatively mainstream values because they don’t like how they vote, we will remain a deeply divided nation whose discourse runs hot with a large and growing MAGA contingent.?

??There is no level of destruction that can be sown upon the recalcitrant rule breaker known as Donald J Trump that will change that but those who seek to destroy him have not yet figured this out.

No one misunderstands MAGA. Trump is who he is and has always been. Those who voted for him either knew it and did not care or thought he would change once in office. 4 indictments and 2 impeachments speaks for itself. Trump lost the 2020 election fair and square there was no voter fraud. Trump tried to steal the 2020 election by fraud and failed. Now he is going to be in court to answer for this. Hopefully it will be televised so everyone American which includes MAGA members can see the truth clearly. I hope FOX news will cover this and I hope it is a daily update.

Great post Myron Knapp! Great analogy and I think you would agree that it’s not even the real game that we watch from the bleachers. The real game is at a different venue and we are not invited or permitted to attend. I never “liked” Trump but I do believe we can make America great again. I voted for him twice and if nothing changes, will do so again. Not because I like Trump - I don’t. But he has the vision and the cajones to pull down the curtains for the US citizens. And just as MAGA predates Trump, so does Biden’s Build Back Better - Biden’s is straight out of Rockefeller Foundation, UN, WEF, IMF and the likes promoting the fascist technocratic new world order. I’ll wear the CT badge.
