Why has NATO been so successful in the NATO-Russia war? When China will take Taiwan?
Well, NATO has been preparing for this war since 1945. The greatest challenge to NATO has never been Equador or Finland or even China.
All NATO weapon systems on land, at sea, and in the air have been specifically designed to kill Soviet/Russian armor/mechanized infantry, surface and submerged sea vehicles and airplanes, helicopters, drones, and missiles.
The most likely scenario in every war strategist's mind expectation was that there would be a war in Poland between NATO and Russia with Russia utilizing a type of Blitzkrieg. Instead of Poland, the war took place in Ukraine.
Western technologically more advanced weapons have destroyed huge amounts of Russian weapons systems. Just like in WWII when the German army had very capable and technologically advanced weapons systems which initially took them to the outskirts of Moscow and Stalingrad. The Russian forces had inferior weapons systems but had lots of them and could absorb huge losses. Pretty much what's happening today in Ukraine.

Just like in WWII on the Eastern front, Russia moved huge numbers of infantry to make up for the losses of weapons systems. Russia lost to NATO in the proxy war in Afghanistan. That was a different kind of war that Russia could not adapt to. Neither could Britain nor the U.S. a century later. The classic land warfare that NATO has been preparing for 70 years is however a different arena.
Looking at history one can see that Europe has been constantly fighting for hundreds of years. That is what they do. The best advice the American founding fathers had for their young fledgling nation was "not to get involved in European wars" . Unfortunately, they have not completely heeded that advice. Instead, America has chosen to fight proxy wars to keep war as far away from its shores as possible. The more conflict there is in regions that compete with America either covertly or openly for power or resources the better.
Great strategy. The Europeans eat it up hook bait and line every single time. The Chinese very nearly went for Taiwan this year and then changed their minds. The Taiwan challenge will come one day when China is economically the largest and most powerful economy in the world with an alternative global currency and money transfer network.
Peace in our times. Peace at home. Peace in the world.
