Why Happiness is a Choice

I spoke with a friend the other day, who is this close to landing an incredible job opportunity. I have to say; I haven't seen him this happy in a long time.

However, this wasn't always his state of mind.

Less than three months ago, he was pretty miserable at work. Friends advised him to suck it up. They said he should be thankful to have a job. My friend knew better.

He could not get up every day, log into his computer, and dial it in. He felt he deserved to be happy.

My friend decided to look for a new position and is about to receive at least two job offers.

A new client was recently passed up for a promotion. Boy, was she bummed out. She eventually realized that to ensure this doesn't happen again, she needed to take action.
