Why Happiness Will Always Be My Choice

Don't get me wrong.

I'm not delusional.

We all experience a lot of crap, but no matter how much crap we go through there is always an opportunity to glean something good from the experience.

Perhaps, what's most important for me, is maintaining a positive attitude about myself and the world.

You see there were times in my life when I didn't even want to look at myself in the mirror;

Times when I even bought sleeping pills and wanted to end it all.

Ultimately, I told myself you love yourself too much to do this.

God delivered me from my thoughts and as a result, I've sought to protect myself, to steer myself to positive thoughts, for I know what can happen when I go off-course.

For me, and I'm betting for you, it all comes down to a choice.

I've seen what can happen when I'm negative and

As a result, I'll always strive to find the positive in every situation.

I view this as a gift to myself;

A gift that I will always pursue for I know what it is like to live without it.
