Tucked into a quiet corner of Kent is Sevenoaks’ very own secret garden. Great Comp Garden’s, beauty spans seven acres of breathtaking grounds surrounding a 17th-century manor house, and is home to many wonderful garden exhibits, offering a perfect day out for green-thumb fanatics.?
Home to enchanting woodlands, historic ruins, an Italian Garden to admire and grounds packed with tales of history, don’t forget to visit The Old Dairy Tearooms for delicious cakes and homemade lunches made with locally sourced produce.?

This spectacular garden has been meticulously planted with the incentive of the grounds blooming all year round. With the passing of each season, visitors can wander the tranquil gardens and the array of rare and unique plants on show from 1st March - 31st October, when the gardens are open to the public.

Over the years, the property has undergone valuable renovations to retain the beauty of the 17th-century manor house. Recent renovations uncovered an unusual certificate linking the house to former resident, Eva McLaren, a prominent suffragist who worked on improving working conditions for women in Lancashire, as well as being featured on Milicent Fawcett's plinth in Parliament Square today.?
Fast forward to today and the Great Comp Garden will be hosting its annual Summer Show with talented artists and craftspeople and a live jazz ensemble on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th of August. The trustees hope that the two-day event will safeguard the venue for future generations of visitors.?
