Did you know that what you write on the About page of your website or blog can make or break your relationship with your readers and either land you new clients or repel them entirely?
About page content is essential because it does a few key things the content on other pages doesn’t.?
Here are three reasons good About page content is absolutely vital to the success of your blog or website:
1. It's Where You Tell Your Story
Your About page provides you with an opportunity to tell your visitors exactly who you are. It's where you get to control your narrative or that of your business. It's where you tell people what your brand is all about.

2. It's Where You Connect With Readers and Potential Clients
Candid, personal and authentic content creates a personal and emotional connection with visitors. What do you want visitors to your blog or website to feel about you or your business? What do you want them to feel when they visit your blog or your website? Should they feel inspired, motivated, or like they're speaking with a friend or should they feel like students who believe they'll learn something new and life-changing with each swipe or click?
3. It Helps Build Trust
It's the information age. We're constantly bombarded with information. On any given day, we receive dozens of emails and see a constant stream of social media posts from “experts”? desperately vying for our attention. How does the average person figure out who's legit and who's trying to run a scam? They visit a website or blog’s about page, that's how. When you share your story and make vital information like your background and experience, professional associations, and awards or recognitions available, people feel a little safer buying your products, taking your advice or even being entertained by you.
About pages can be the gateway to a better and deeper relationship with your customers or readers. When you provide content that tells your story and includes crucial information about your business or brand you're laying the foundation for what could become a long-term, mutually beneficial relationship.
