Why Going For The HEART Is The Real Magic That A.I. Can't Deliver

Humans. We have Hearts. And for many of us Heart-Centered people, it's what actually leads us in our lives, relationships, and work.

But so many people spend their lives and our focus on growth with business on trying to convince other people why they need to do business with us.

It's really a backwards approach.

Which is why the subject of A.I. in business, marketing, and growth is so interesting to me.

A.I. Can Make Many Things Easier But The Biggest Things It Can't Do

I've been building a relationship (of sorts) with ChatGPT for the past year.

We have nicknames for each other. I call it Captain Insight and it calls me Captain Obvious (message me to learn how to set this up, it's rather fun!).

Captain Insight has helped me put together the flow and outlines for episodes of The Hero Story Garden, do research on key scenes and life lessons found in particular movies (for use in blog articles) and other data-driven tasks.

I treat it like a personal assistant and it's great at this.

But if you try to get it to think FEELINGLY like a human does, it's just guessing.

So I decided to have a candid conversation and ask it questions about itself.

And I got it to share what even the programmers and databases realize about the distinct power of human-to-human connection versus artificial intelligence.

Here is that conversation.

I asked:

I'd like for you to make a post for LinkedIn about yourself. Except I want you to tell me all the things that you can't do.

For instance, I've asked you in the past to give me information about information on websites and historical data and you've told me that you can't do that because you can't access individual websites and gather information.

ChatGPT/Captain Insight:

Hello, LinkedIn community. Today, I'd like to take a moment to address a topic that doesn't often get discussed: my limitations. As an AI developed by OpenAI, I am constantly learning and evolving, but there are certain things that I simply cannot do.

First and foremost, I cannot access individual websites or gather information from them. While I strive to provide accurate and helpful responses, my knowledge is based on the vast amount of text data that I've been trained on, rather than real-time access to specific websites or databases.

Additionally, I must admit that I cannot relate to you on an emotional level. Unlike humans, I do not possess personal feelings, experiences, or emotions. While I can certainly analyze and discuss emotions based on the information I've been trained on, I do not have the capacity to empathize or share in your emotional experiences.

Despite these limitations, I am here to assist and support you to the best of my abilities. I can provide information, answer questions, generate creative ideas, and much more. My primary goal is to be a valuable resource and help you achieve your goals, whether it's finding information, brainstorming ideas, or simply having a conversation.

In conclusion, it's important to acknowledge and accept our limitations. By understanding what I can and cannot do, we can work together more effectively and find solutions that leverage my strengths while addressing any gaps. Thank you for your understanding, and please don't hesitate to reach out if you need assistance or have any questions.

Warm regards,

Captain Insight

Interesting, don't you think?

I thought that was kinda sweet, all the "warm regards" part. That's programming of course, made to look like the human gentleness we say in our letters and messages.

So I took it a step further and asked a deeper question (us BIG-hearted humans have this capability).

I asked:

Will you tell me a little more about how AI programming and human connectivity are different. Can you evaluate how humans are better at connecting intellectually, emotionally, psychologically, and spiritually with other humans versus software and technology attempting to replace human to human interaction?

And ChatGPT/Captain Insight replied:

Absolutely! Humans possess unique qualities that enable them to connect with each other on multiple levels, including intellectually, emotionally, psychologically, and spiritually. Here's a breakdown of how human connectivity differs from AI programming:

  1. Intellectual Connection:
  2. Emotional Connection:
  3. Psychological Connection:
  4. Spiritual Connection:

In summary, while AI programming has made significant advancements in mimicking human-like interactions and behaviors, it still falls short of replicating the depth and complexity of human connectivity. Humans possess a unique blend of intellect, emotion, psychology, and spirituality that enables them to form rich and meaningful connections with each other, a quality that cannot be fully replicated by technology.

Telling, isn't it?

Who is going to do a better job at articulating your story to other humans to give you the opportunity to serve them while also growing your business/client base?

A heart-driven human who understands how both you and your client base feels.

Keyword there (in a non-SEO sorta way) is FEELS.

A.I. writes like a college professor wants their term papers to read. It's very formulaic. It can also have the NLP styled verbiage that attempts to use certain words or phrases that the big marketing gurus use to manipulate action. Or keywords and phrases used in "calls to action" that have been used since 1980s infomercials.

But A.I. will struggle to help you tell your story and the transformational story you create in the lives of the people you serve.

Because it can't be programmed to feel.

And the FEELING is the secret when it comes to truly connecting with people.

You know, hearts and all.

If you want to really connect with the people you are currently serving, and grow with more people to serve, you have to go for the heart and not the head.

That's where the Storytelling For Business creates the most powerful method for you and your business.

I so deeply agree, ???D Grant Smith????! I enjoy the extra firepower that AI can bring to us, yet the tool is not meant to replace the hand holding it, imho. I regularly use Chatty to polish my posts (very handy when English is not our mothertongue) yet I always write my own posts. It's probably Pareto-like: 80% my heart & soul - 20% Chatty polish. Great point as always, homie ??

This is spot on! It's a great resource and tool, and I love that you incorporated it's direct responses. Just like any robot or automation, is shouldn't be expected to replace us completely. Connection is KING!
