Why not go for it?

Leaving a financially secure job in the corporate world with a great title at a young age was risky - some would even call it 'stupid' because it's out of the norm. Furthermore, leaving it to go and study yoga versus taking a new (secure) corporate job - probably even riskier or even more 'stupid' BUT... WOW... it feels absolutely amazing to be back from Thailand after 2 months away with new knowledge and as a certified Traditional Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga Instructor. 

30 days of 5am wake ups and not going to bed until class finished post 9pm every day of the week was not always easy physically or mentally. There was no time for my body to recover and at times moving was painful - I felt as though I was 90 years old. The information I was learning I didn't always agree with but it was important to keep an open mind and learn about the other perspectives which isn't always an easy thing for me given my stubborn ways. 

Being away from my friends in Dubai and even further away from family in Canada at a time when we lost someone close to us made things even harder given an extreme time difference but I moved forward knowing that every step I took was one towards something I would be proud of and in turn I knew my family and friends would support. 

There were many excuses presented to me; many fears that could have prevented me... but I knew that little voice from within would always be there telling me it's something I should do and I am so glad I finally listened. It feels liberating to say I have absolutely no regrets for taking the plunge to do something that I've always wanted to and the personal growth I've experienced makes me only more confident in who I am as I take a new step each day toward the next adventure that awaits...
