How do you mostly work with your key suppliers?
Emiliano: GIS International only works with Tier 1 suppliers in products where we have built up core competences, we focus on high end engineering and distribution but we also have the design capabilities to identify the most suitable item. By being an extension of our supply partners we add substantial value for both suppliers and customers. An example of this lies in our capabilities in dealing with SME clients. These are clients that are mostly very demanding on a lot of levels, from financing to the technical and logistic support needed, and this is where we make an important difference, by assuming the role of the supplier’s channel partner in some key markets.
We are matching the needs from our clients with the offer from the large OEMS, where we act as the front end and the first line support. A lot of the businesses we are dealing with, are export project related, understanding the international end user specifications is yet another important advantage we bring in.
We focus on creating solid partnerships between these customers and the OEM’s, creating win-wins, creating value, finding the right opportunities at the best price/quality and understand how to offer the best kind of support. Procurement Engineering is all about that and more…
