Why Fusion is better

Why Fusion is better

MyBroadband product review

Recently, together with one of our resellers Itried, MyBroadband conducted a product review of Fusion's SD-WAN solution:

Help

I often speak to people who use alternative solution based such as Fortinet or Meraki. There is a host of other legacy and router based offering including Mikrotik. Often the question is the same, "please help me make my solution work like Fusion's." The problem is that they cannot. We either need to replace the solution or alternatively keep the existing solution and introduce the Fusion solution in front of it. Not a bad idea as its a low impact change with great benefits as the WAN link becomes more reliable and resilient.

Manual intervention

So what makes Fusion better? The problem with all the alternatives is that they need a significant amount of baby sitting. The fail-over is not seamless and does not often work resulting in the requirement for manual intervention.

Stop and go

Let me explain. Have you ever seen those stop and go road blocks that contractors use to control traffic on road repairs on a long stretch of road? They have a person on either end controlling a single lane using stop and go signs. If you had only one person on the one side there would be chaos. If you had two people on either end but no walkie talkie between them there would be chaos. Now those alternative solutions to Fusion are like those road contractors without a person controlling traffic on either end or not having walkie talkies between themselves.

And that is why Fusion is better...
