My Story

Let me share a personal story that illustrates this journey. About two years ago, my wife was diagnosed with cancer. While this devastating news shook me to my core, I was, at the time, a successful business manager working in a corporate environment. I had a stable career, a decent income, and all the trappings of what most would consider “success.” However, what I didn’t have was time.

As my wife battled through treatment and recovery, I found myself faced with an impossible choice: be there for her during the most challenging time of our lives, or dedicate myself to my career in order to maintain the financial stability we needed. It was an agonizing dilemma. As much as I wanted to be by her side, the demands of my career kept pulling me back into the office. In fact, I worked more hours during her recovery than I ever had in my entire career. It was the straw that broke the camel’s back for me. How could I call myself “successful” when I wasn’t even available for the people I loved most?

This was my wake-up call. The moment when I realized that what I truly needed wasn’t more money—it was freedom.
