Why do we store our fragrances in amber bottles?
Dark colored glass like cobalt and amber help keep out ultraviolet light from the sun and other light sources. When fragrance oils are exposed to UV light, the raw materials within photo oxidize. This causes their molecular structure to change, shortening the fragrance’s shelf life and altering its scent.
By storing fragrance oils in amber bottles and keeping them tightly sealed in a cool dry location, you can preserve their integrity and keep them smelling stronger for longer!
