Why food plans keep you stuck

I don’t make food plans for my clients. I have, and it’s always turned out disasterous.

Instead, I help them to create their own plan.

Sure, it is more work for them, which many folks don’t like, but here’s what it does - It results in better adherence to the plan, and THAT makes them more successful.

Your success is the #1 important thing for me.

See - like with diet books or other protocols, if someone else tells you which foods you can eat, and which foods you can’t, you’re looking outside of yourself for the answers. And when that happens, you don’t fully understand why, and what you can & can’t do.

So, you’re either paranoid of making a mistake, or you throw up your hands & say “Eff It!”

But when you start tuning in to your own inner wisdom of what foods you should be eating (cause lets face it - we all know what we should & shouldn’t be eating. Right?) & paying attention to how food makes you feel, versus staying on someone else’s protocol, everything changes.

Now - instead of “I can’t eat that because my coach (or the book) said I can’t” turns into either “I can’t eat that because it makes me feel bad” or even better, “I don’t eat that - that’s not something that I eat”

It totally changes the intention behind the decision and empowers you.

And see, that’s the thing. When someone else gives you a diet to follow, you’re completely disempowered from making your own decisions.

And when we feel disempowered, we act out.

At least, I know that I do. ???♀?
