Phrases like “Do what you love and you’ll never work a day in your life” are often touted as keys to career satisfaction and success. However, this well-intentioned advice can be misleading and impractical for several reasons. Instead of relying solely on passion, employees should focus on a more holistic approach to career planning that includes skills, market demand, and personal values.

1. Passions Change Over Time:
?? - What you are passionate about at one stage of your life might not remain the same forever. People grow and evolve, and so do their interests. Tying your career to a passion that might change can lead to instability and dissatisfaction down the line. Imagine yourself being passionate about traveling as a kid, only to end up hating flying as an adult.

2. Passion Doesn't Guarantee Proficiency:

I am passionate about Indian classical music but that doesn’t make anywhere proficient to make it my career choice.
