Did you know that there is a Peer to Peer Mentoring group for Fleet and Transport Managers?
The role can be very lonely and very challenging and the group was created almost 2 years ago to provide mentoring, professional development and a strong community of leaders in the sector.
The group now are 11 strong and looking to add members who want to apply to join in 2024.
I asked at the recent monthly meeting what members felt the biggest benefits were of the group, there were 10 key areas;
1) Timely feedback on policies, paperwork
2) How do I? - getting real feedback on challenges they face day to day with operators
3) Issue sharing - including dealing with other stakeholders
4) Keeping up to date with the industry, changes and developments
5) getting advice and guidance on things they may not fully understand
6) the community and friendship
7) Network and extended contacts
8) Templates when needed for additional support with audits and frameworks
9) the confidence of being part of a community and having a second opinion
10) increased knowledge and development through education slots at the meetings.
