Why Finding a New Career is Challenging: A Fresh Perspective

Why Finding a New Career is Challenging: A Fresh Perspective

I’ve come to the realization that I’m no longer just searching for a new career. Instead, I’m focused on building learning resources and growing Healthy Career Nurses to help others on their career paths.

It’s time to get back into brand building. That doesn’t mean I’ll stop applying for jobs—on the contrary, I plan to document my journey and share it on YouTube. I believe I can build a successful audience around this.

So far, I’ve enjoyed the five interviews I’ve had, and they’ve been great experiences. However, after running some data through ChatGPT-4, it appears I only have a 20% chance of landing a job where I live. This is based on both primary and secondary sources, which is convincing enough for me to stop relying solely on my local economy.

Despite this, I’m already feeling excited. Just writing this article reinforces my belief that job hunting isn’t for me anymore. Building brands and helping others find new careers is the path I’m meant to take. That’s why I’m introducing Careersey, a career-focused magazine that offers up-to-date insights on career management, job opportunities, interviews, and everything in between. It’s aimed especially at those over 40, a market I understand well after searching for work myself.

To all of you out there, whether you’re building a brand or searching for your next career move, I wish you the best of luck. Keep pushing forward!
