• From the business side of any company: If they like the concept, genre, and ties talent to the project that meets their budget, and marketing research shows potential for a profit. They will pay for it.
• They then can negotiate a package deal upfront for both the script and book. This prevents other companies from having access to create, produce, or publish anything from the concept and characters found in the book or script.

Basically, they buy the rights to the script and book from you. Don't be afraid. Typically, the book version adds more value to the deal.

Note: For writers that are also published authors. They know, not all scripts become box office hits and not all books become best-sellers or have high sales numbers.

But regardless of how long it takes for your script to get produced, your book will remain available to a global audience.
