Why the Facts Don't Change Our Minds

This article explains why intelligent, well-intentioned people argue passionately with "alternative facts." The current battle between the new U.S. Administration and the "dishonest, fake media" comes to mind, but our reluctance the allow the facts - the truth - to change our minds impacts every aspect of our lives.
