WHY IS THERE EVIL, IF GOD IS GOOD

God is a good God. His nature is good. There is no evil or guile in him

Psalm 103v1AMP:O give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; for His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever!

Psalm 119v68AMP:You are good and kind and do good; teach me Your statutes.

As a good God, when he delved into the workshop of creation all he created was good.

He made man good, in fact the devil was good.

Genesis 31v1AMP:And God saw everything that He had made, and behold, it was very good (suitable, pleasant) and He approved it completely. And there was evening and there was morning, a sixth day.

Evil came when the created who was created by the good God started aspiring for "more" and the "more" that was hungered for was outside the confines of the goodness of God. The "more" was outside the constituency of the goodness of God and what was birthed was EVIL.

Evil came when the created was no longer content with who God had created him/her to be. Discontentment with who God has made you to be and where God has placed you in, will certainly draw you out of the context of God causing you to see the truth as a lie.

Lucifer was not created to do evil. No! He wanted more outside of God and the end result of that action was evil, sin.

Adam and Eve were created in the image and likeness of God but they were not satisfied, they wanted to taste of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

Wanting more is not the problem, the problem is when the more is outside of God.

They had the tree of life to feast from in their quest for more, but they made the conscious choice of saying NO to life and saying YES to evil.

When you already have all of God and you still want more outside of God you are embracing evil.

When you are not satisfied with the good God you are refuting his goodness and saying YES to evil.

The presence or the absence of evil around us is anchored on the choices we make.

Evil is permissive. Likewise sin.

The created made the Choice to embrace EVIL and the good God in his goodness will not override our choices.

The presence of evil in our world today is as a result of the created alienating himself from the goodness of God.

Many things look good but because it looks good does not imply that it is Godly.

Your definition of good must be restricted to be within the confines of God.

You must not just see that the thing is good, you must look to see if there is God in it.

Genesis 3v4-6AMP:But the serpent said to the woman, You shall not surely die,

5AMP:For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing the difference between good and evil and blessing and calamity.

6AMP:And when the woman saw that the tree was good (suitable, pleasant) for food and that it was delightful to look at, and a tree to be desired in order to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate; and she gave some also to her husband, and he ate.

Evil did not come into the world through the good God, No! Evil came into the world when the taste buds of the created became insatiate with the goodness of God.

In conclusion, we have a choice to either align ourselves with the goodness of God or partner with the work's of darkness in the choices we make.
