“Why everyone must learn programming”

The following is a dialogue between a student and a teacher on this aspect;

Student: Why should I learn programming?

Philosopher: For me Programming has given me three major benefits.

Student: What are they?

Philosopher: It helps you process your thoughts and present to the dumb machine. Test if the machine has done what you wanted to execute.

Once you master this skill, no matter what you do, you are a better communicator and a good leader. You know what you want, share it with others in a step by step executable manner and track the progress.

Student: What is the other advantage?

Philosopher: As per me, No matter what you do, your bank balance is a reflection of how much value you add to other’s lives.

Programming helps you reach the masses and add value to more people.

You are reading this because someone did the programming of the network, the operating system, the application on the OS and the application on the web.

Student: I can always hire a programmer. Can't I?

Philosopher: Yes and I shall be happy that you create a team. Individually, you can do so much. You still need to communicate to him or her for what you want and track if he or she has done it properly.

Student: You mentioned 3 reasons. What is third one?

Philosopher: You can slowly see how you are programmed by society, parents, friends, etc.

You can see how you are mostly acting to fulfil the desires of others.

Student: How to use programming?

Philosopher: Programming is a skill and more of an art. Think of it like that, Virak Kohli uses his bat, Picasso uses pen and paint brush, Arijit Singh uses his voice and Guitar.

You can use programming as an art form. Everyone has spent years of their life to master that skill from one or more great artists and trainers.

You also need to spend time programming with a person practicing like Novak jovovich practices tennis every day.

Student: You mean to say that I shall be able to earn lots of money if I become a good programmer?

Philosopher: Everyone has their biases, including me. Recognize that. If you had asked a painter or a dancer, he or she would have said that painting/ dancing gives you finesse and rhythm in anything you do.

Sports trainer would have specified to you the necessity of vibrant health to create anything and enjoy that.

Similarly, music trainers will recommend that, with music, you have great sensory acuity to recognize the needs, desires, pains and problems of your customer. All of them are correct.

Listen to what you can spend initial 21 to 90 days with any skill, after that it's about perseverance.

Any skill, you spend time with and hold the lucrative for short term fame is bound to give you power to impact millions of people. Its value addition in other’s that will make you money.
