Why everybody should have a Will

Why everybody should have a Will

You don’t own a house and you don’t have what you’d consider to be valuable assets, so you don’t need a will. This is a huge and unfortunate misconception.

If you have possessions of any kind whether it be property, money, life insurance policies or valuables such as jewellery that you would rather go to people you care about then you need a will or you risk them going to people you wouldn’t want to inherit your estate or the crown.

Everyone’s requirements are so diverse that they all require different types of planning and that can be for many reasons such as if they have children from different relationships, are not married but are living together and own a property jointly, and others’ estate may attract inheritance tax which is payable upon death. These are just a few examples of many scenarios that we come across.

Our approach is to cover all angles with our clients is to ensure they are fully aware of all possible situations that can arise when they pass away as well as solutions on how to mitigate these when discussing their individual requirement. This enables them to make an informed decision on how they want to their estate to be distributed.

Our clients appreciate how we educate them on the options they have and they find it very easy to make a decision that provides them with peace of mind, which is where we get our satisfaction from.
