Why Every Speaker Needs a Yearly Theme

As a speaker, one of the most effective ways to stay relevant and consistently deliver value is by defining a yearly theme. It’s not just about developing an overarching topic, it’s about setting a clear focus that inspires your content, drives your keynotes, and positions you as someone who’s constantly evolving.
Why Every Speaker Needs a Yearly Theme
Let’s be honest, if you talk about the same topic year after year without any fresh angle, it can start to feel a bit stale. Audiences and event organisers are looking for speakers who bring new perspectives and ideas, not the same keynote they heard two years ago. That’s where a yearly theme makes all the difference.
Your theme acts as a guiding light, helping you to develop content that feels timely, relevant, and exciting. For example, if you speak about leadership, your 2025 theme might explore inclusive leadership in a hybrid workplace or leading with emotional intelligence in a digital world. These focused ideas keep your work fresh and ensure you’re always speaking to current trends and challenges.

My Theme for 2025
For 2025, my theme is all about humanising your business. In a world increasingly dominated by AI, I see a huge opportunity for businesses to stand out by focusing on human connection and skills. I’m not anti-AI, but I believe that embracing what makes us human, creativity, empathy and storytelling will be the key to thriving in this new era.
This theme will drive my keynotes, marketing, and content strategy throughout the year. It’s relevant, it’s timely, and it’s a challenge that resonates with the businesses I work with.
What’s Your Theme for 2025?
Whether you’re a seasoned speaker or just starting out, setting a yearly theme is one of the best ways to stay sharp, relevant, and engaging. What will your focus be for 2025? How will you shape your content and keynotes to reflect it?
Take some time to think about the challenges and opportunities your audience is facing and find a theme that inspires you to bring your best to the stage. Trust me, it’s a game changer.
Let’s make 2025 your most impactful year yet.

And I have come up with the following The Art of Holding Space: Building Trust and Transforming Teams. Where Leaders will understand how to hold space for vulnerability and collaboration, building trust that drives team transformation and growth. Something I am super passionate about shifting in the corporate space . Creating safety for people to speak up to share ideas
