Why Every Revit user should try Pyrevit? What are its amazing features?

One of the most useful tools for improving productivity and saving time.

Here are some of the features I like most

1. Pattern Maker :

In Revit, there are fewer patterns by default . I like this feature the most in Pyrevit. Due to my role in interior design, I may encounter many complex floor finish patterns.I was able to achieve a pattern with the help of this tool.

2. Copy Legends to multiple sheets:

It is possible to copy notes, symbols, tables, and details from Legends/Drafting views to multiple sheets without manually copying them.

3.Batch Sheet Maker :

In Revit, creating multiple sheets has always been tedious and slow. While Dynamo scripts can be helpful, however this can efficient too,

You must select the batch sheet maker option to achieve this.The sheet number should be entered first, then the sheet name should be entered. If multiple sheets has the same name you must specify the range as given in the tooltip.(Ex: A016--A020)

4. Add views to sheet :

The process of placing views in a sheet can take a long time if we do it manually.Pyrevit has a great feature of allowing you to add views to sheets. Multiple views can also be placed in the same sheet using this method.

5. Set Revision to sheets :

Pyrevit allows you to add revisions to multiple sheets without manually doing so when you have a large collection of documents.

6. Export Schedules to CSV

Native Revit does not support exporting scheduling as a .csv file, only as a .txt file.With Pyrevit, we can convert multiple schedules to .csv at once, without having to do it one by one.

7.Override Text/Dimensions/Element :

Override allows you to customize the weight, pattern, and color of lines of a system's family structure according to its function.

Override option in Pyrevit with predefined settings helps to override quickly without spending much time.

8.Orient Section box to selected face?

In some cases, we may need to rotate the section box to accommodate an irregular building. Pyrevit gives us the option to rotate a section box according to the selected face without rotating it.

9. Sync Views

I find it to be one of my favorite features.It is incredibly helpful.The zoomed area will stay where you are so you won't need to zoom in and out to work on the same sector.Take for instance a big multi-story building where you are working on the left side of the top floor.As long as Sync Views is toggled, the same area will appear when you change levels or plans.

10.Wipe out

When it comes to deep cleaning, however, purging unused tool is not always enough. Despite our best efforts, some elements are always left behind. By using PyRevit Wipe, you can go much deeper into the process.

It helps to mass delete elements like views, sheets,etc.
