Why an ERP Will NOT Solve All Your Problems
MOHAMMED FARIDY
I help negotiators attain superior outcomes with IT vendors by sharing insanely useful tactics refined over almost 3 decades
The way some people talk about their ERP implementations is flat out ridiculous.
They have the most wildly unrealistic expectations on what an ERP system is going to do for them (and that’s only partially fuelled by the ERP vendors themselves).
To make matters worse, it usually takes years before they realize that a big expensive ERP system isn’t the silver bullet they were hoping for (because that’s how long it takes to implement an ERP).
I’m not saying you shouldn’t implement an ERP system. But I am saying the problems you’re trying to solve with an ERP can’t wait years to be resolved.
One of those problems is contract management.
In this week’s video, we’re kicking off an entire series on ERP and contract management.
You’ll learn why it takes so long to get an ERP system up and running, what makes ERP implementations so complicated, and how you can close the contract management gap while you’re waiting.
