Why be an Entrepreneur? A Self Reflection

Why be an Entrepreneur? A Self Reflection

Why do people try to become entrepreneurs? Do they do it for money, fame, or prestige? I believe some do however over the last year I have noticed something very different about entrepreneurs. They care. They care about the world they live in and they want to make it better. Yeah, sometimes they get money out of it; but is that the end goal? I never saw myself as an entrepreneur. I never thought I could run a business yet have a successful one, however it’s the people that we surround ourselves with on a daily basis that make it possible for the entity to be successful. Entrepreneurs have the ability to see what very little people can see, the intrinsic value of an individual and the value they can add to help change the world. Too often we go about our lives doing the normal thing, eating, working, sleeping, and repeating that cycle over and over again. For what? For our kids? For our eventual retirement? Being an entrepreneur takes you out of that cycle, it takes you from a repetitive day to one of extreme highs and extreme lows. Too often, an entrepreneur will find that one wrong move could result in the entire year, two years, or even decades amount of work shutting down. It is this that makes an entrepreneur unique. They not only experience this level of failure but they thrive in it. They thrive in the failures that they go through because they use that to be able to grow. That is why I have become an entrepreneur. Not because of the large paycheck that soon will be coming. Not because of the fame that might come from it. But it’s for the failures that I have gone through. To an entrepreneur like myself, they never are truly failures but successes on how to do what you are doing the wrong way. Yet these points can apply to each and every one of us, as we all are entrepreneurs. We might be people who objective in the world is childbearing. We might be people who love serving people. This is all different kinds of entrepreneurship, as it is taking away from yourself to solve a problem, or serve a solution to a future problem. We all do it. We all try to make our little micro world a better place. That drive is all it takes to make an entrepreneur.
