Why Eating A High Protein Diet Is Slowing Your Weight Loss Progress

Why Eating A High Protein Diet Is Slowing Your Weight Loss Progress

Was speaking with a serial entrepreneur this week.

Many of you guys know him.

He reached out with the ambition to get six pack lean.

He’s a super Type A guy and very driven.

He had a doctor, nutritionist and personal trainer the past 2 years.

Yet he was stuck with his progress.

He saw one of his buddies doing the Kinetic Method and decided to give it a shot.

When I looked at his blood work, health history and routine – there were a few things that needed to be corrected.

One of them is too high protein.

I know this sounds uncommon with all the meatheads out there telling you to eat more protein.

But this guy was overeating protein because of the plan that was put for him together prior to us working together.

As a result, he felt bloated all the time, tired and his blood work was showing it.

Not only is that unnecessary, but it will impact your health and business performance.

When you live a stressful lifestyle, which every business owner does – you have less stomach acid.

When you have less stomach acid, your ability to break down and digest protein goes down.

Now you add 4-5 weekly workouts, low carb and super high protein to the mix and that stress goes even higher.

So there’s even less stomach acid.

Because of that, the motility of his gut, which is the speed of his gut, slows down.

Think of it the gut waiting until there’s more stomach acid secretion, so that he can digest the rest of the protein.

As his gut is waiting, he will get gassy and bloated as some of the foods gets fermented – which ultimately can lead to SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth).

And this then can cause nutrient deficiencies, thyroid problems and impact other hormones such as testosterone.

With all the bloating and gas, the body will start to get inflamed and hold onto more water.

Your progress with losing bodyfat is masked with all the water weight from constipation and inflammation.

At this point getting six pack lean feels like a losing uphill battle.

It doesn’t have to be like that.

More isn’t always better.

Boiled water is boiled water, there’s no sense in overdoing it.

Circling back to this serial entrepreneur, I set him up with a new protocol.

Within a week he’s feeling better already.

The post lunch crashes are replaced with a flow of steady energy.

When you have a full team of experts supporting you that are all in house, your chances of success dramatically increase.

Many clients prior to working with us have a functional medicine practitioner, a personal trainer, a mindset coach and a lot of other people giving their input.

And while all these people are world class at what they do individually, it’s hard for them to communicate with each other for the need of a client.

Because they all tun their own business and therefore are externally.

The personal trainer may say to eat more carbs to have more energy for his workouts.

Yet if he’s almost prediabetic, then the nutritionist may disagree.

Because they never communicate together, the client is lost in the middle with conflicting information that causes confusion and ultimately stalls progress.

With the Kinetic Method we’ve got it all in house.

Functional Medicine.

Chiropractor and Doctor of Rehab.

Strength Coach.

Accountability Coach.

Everyone is on up to date and the speed how information gets shared is unmatched.

This is why you see the dramatic transformations on my profile.

It wouldn’t be possible without a great team behind me that supports clients as if they were their family members.
