Why Don't You ...... ? It's what Everyone does....

How many times have you heard this two phrases together? How do they make you feel?

Not so good? You're not alone.

I usually hear them around my photography endeavours. Just because of one simple reason.

Have little to no edit.

I simply do not like to edit my photos. I love to take my camera out on walks, I don't like to edit the photos later. More often than not I end up hearing "But good photographers edit their photos" and I that makes me think I gave to abide by the rules to be a "good"photographer. I don't. That doesn't mean I don't love to see the editing that photographers do to their photos, I just don't like to edit mine. I like them as they are, raw and unedited, because I just love the memories. And that's ok.

This applies to everything. If what you do is not illegal but you do not abide by the usual rules and that works for you and your happiness, keep going. The world is tired of carbon copies. The world is tired of rule books for everything.

Experiment. Try. See what works. And keep being you.

As and old tale I wrote when I was 16 ended:
