I don't know about you, but by the time summer arrives, my body and mind want a vacation from work. Well, if you're like me, and holidays are several weeks away, you'll enjoy this.
All summer long, I'll be bringing you short hits of information and inspiration to help you ignite high performance in all you do that is important to you! This week I'm sharing a reminder why energy at work really matters... in 60 seconds or less.

Why does energy at work matter? Well, most of us don't really think about the importance of energy and vitality to drive success. But your physical body and brilliant mind in it are what's responsible for every creative outburst, for every idea, for every moment of productivity.
And yet when we get busy, we will set aside the very things that our body needs in order to energize our success: taking regular breaks, eating regularly and healthfully throughout the day. So that means skipping the vending machine and eating less sugary, processed food. It means adding in some movement throughout the day and preferably getting some fresh air.
Dare I say, take your break like a smoker, but without the smoke. Smoker's rarely skip their breaks, which means they get up from their desk, walk outdoors, and have conversations - yes, while smoking - but if we skip that part we're doing a lot of good things for our focus and energy.
Throughout the day, we underestimate the power that we have to really tap into a wealth of energy within us that will drive our success to even higher levels.
