The Newest Professional Registration

BCS is delighted to announce the launch of Advanced RITTech, the newest professional registration to hit the market, providing a clear journey from RITTech to CITP, through the use of BCS professional development tools.

BCS offers a number of professional registrations within the industry, whether that be more generalist registrations like RITTech and CITP, or something more specialist like FEDIP.

Before this launch, we had a gap that a number of BCS members wanted us to fill:

  1. SFIA Level 2 – Part RITTech Recognition
  2. SFIA Level 3 – RITTech
  3. SFIA Level 4 - ?
  4. SFIA Level 5 – CITP

SFIA Level 4 has now been filled with Advanced RITTech. This enables members to be recognised at all levels and capabilities, offers the opportunity to step through our registrations, and ultimately support their career wherever they may be.

So what exactly is Advanced RITTech?

Advanced RITTech is a professional registration for those working in IT/Digital roles and contributing towards the build and maintenance of our digital world. Against a set of industry benchmarked competencies, someone with Advanced RITTech is recognised for the confident application of their knowledge and skills.

In addition to recognition, an Advanced RITTech registrant will be welcomed into the RITTech community providing them with opportunities to develop knowledge, network, and continue their professional development.

While some may look to use Advanced RITTech as a milestone achievement on route to CITP, others can proudly have their skills, knowledge, and achievements of their personal career journey recognised. Either way, registrants will be supported by having their name on the public professional register, by displaying their certificate, by wearing their pin badge, and using the logo in their email signature and/or their personal professional portfolio.

To gain Advanced RITTech, applicants complete a six-question competency-based application form found on MyBCS alongside guidance and instructions for application submission. A supporter will need to be provided so the application can be verified, and this is then assessed by a BCS assessor. Successful applicants will then unlock all of the benefits described above.

Your Next Steps

Head over to the RITTech webpage to understand which registration is right for you, then join one of our workshops for tips & tricks for completing your application form. After the workshop, it is a simple case of submitting your application and we will be in touch with a decision.

What are you waiting for? Join the growing community of registered IT professionals!
