Sometimes it’s easier to follow the least demanding road. With this in mind, many of my students-to-be in the Global Academy of Coaching ask me the real value of being officially certified in a school authorized by ICF. Why is it so important?

If your goal is the least possible commitment of time and effort, life coaching is not the profession you are looking for. From a very young age, I have been accustomed to continually seeking new heights to transcend, and this effort has always projected in me pursuing the best.

And in life coaching, this particular principle is non-negotiable.

You are allowed not to get certified, of course. You will undoubtedly save yourself money, time, and possibly disappointments and frustrations. However, in no other way can you redeem the professional honor and recognition you acquire when you are among ICF coaches. The world around us is becoming increasingly skeptical of people who are not accredited. No matter how gifted you consider yourself to be, sooner or later, you’re going to have to show off your credentials.

For this reason, you must exhibit the most remarkable professional conscientiousness and pursue your dream systematically, separating your value from everyone else’s out there.
