Why Do Women Lose the Sweetness of Faith After Marriage?

Why Do Women Lose the Sweetness of Faith After Marriage?

This thought-provoking question addresses a reality that many women experience in their spiritual journeys. A woman once shared her heartfelt concern with a scholar:

"Respected Sheikh, before marriage, I was committed to prayer and fasting. I used to feel immense joy and serenity in worship, but after marriage, that sweetness of faith and spiritual peace has diminished."

The scholar, with wisdom and compassion, responded:

"Daughter, do you fully honor your husband’s rights and strive to follow his guidance as Islam commands?"

Surprised, she replied: "Respected Sheikh, I’m talking about my worship and the sweetness of faith, and you’re asking about my husband’s rights?"

The scholar then referred to a saying of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him): "No woman can fully taste the sweetness of faith until she fulfills her husband’s rights as they are due." (Authentic Reference: Sahih al-Targheeb)

A Profound Insight: This Hadith highlights that honoring the marital bond is not just a worldly duty but a deeply spiritual act. By fulfilling her responsibilities in marriage with sincerity, a woman draws closer to Allah and rekindles the joy in her worship.

A Few Steps to Restore the Sweetness of Faith:

  1. Fulfill Spousal Rights: Understand and honor the mutual responsibilities within marriage as guided by the teachings of Islam.
  2. Seek Allah’s Pleasure: Treat marital duties not just as obligations but as opportunities to gain Allah’s favor.
  3. Maintain Balance: Strive to harmonize worship, family life, and other responsibilities with a positive mindset.

Tagline: "Revive Your Faith, One Loving Step at a Time."

Let’s Hear Your Thoughts! How do you balance your spiritual and marital responsibilities? What steps have you taken to strengthen your faith while nurturing your relationships? Share your ideas and perspectives—we’d love to hear from you!

In the Deaf community, there has long been a challenge in understanding the meanings of Quranic verses, as no dedicated signs for Islamic or Quranic concepts existed. This included Surah Fatiha, the most fundamental chapter of the Quran, whose profound meaning was inaccessible to many. Pakistan Association of the Deaf, after extensive research and dedication, is proud to have developed the complete Islamic Sign Language for Surah Fatiha, making its message accessible to the Deaf community for the first time. Today, during the prestigious event organized by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, we witnessed a historic moment as our talented student, Abdul Qadir, recited Surah Fatiha in Sign Language. This initiative is a step toward empowering the Deaf community to connect with their faith in a meaningful way. Alhamdulillah, we are grateful for this opportunity to serve and create a positive impact. Watch this beautiful and groundbreaking performance and join us in celebrating inclusivity, accessibility, and faith. #PakistanAssociationOfTheDeaf #IslamicSignLanguage #SurahFatihaInSignLanguage #DeafCommunity #InclusionAndAccessibility #EmpoweringThroughFaith https://fb.watch/whoTubDxEj/
