Why Do We Only Research Results?

Why Do We Only Research Results?

We like to think we're masters of our fate and this world, but we don't even know how we got to this sad state. We actually don't control anything in our lives - not what happens in the workplace, not what happens at home, or on the battle field. It's time for us to learn how to navigate toward a better future. But that won't happen until we acknowledge the absolute control our ego has over us, which is the total opposite of us thinking we have control over it. Until we recognize this fact, let's not expect life to get better.

Leaders think they can teach us to love each other, but it doesn't work that way. Despite what we think, establishing a deep connection with others comes from an internal shift - not from anything external.

All the big thinkers who write these insightful articles and reports never ask the most important question: what is the root cause of all these things?

We Only Research Results - Not Causes

So instead of going to the heart of the problem, we keep taking the easy way out. Every day there is a new report explaining all the shifts to us based on surveys and statistics: workplace culture, the Great Resignation, toxic environments, diversity and inclusion, etc. All these reports are based on input from the field. But what led us to the current state where we have all these bad vibes between us? No one has any clue. All the big thinkers who write these insightful articles and reports never ask the most important question: what is the root cause of all these things?

I'm going to let you in on a secret that not many people know: everything we see happening around us in our world are results.

I'm going to let you in on a secret that not many people know: everything we see happening around us in our world are results. Experts take all this information and base their commentary on these results. But what is the cause of these negative results we're seeing all around us? Why are we as a human race inclined to behave certain ways? Why don't we ever dig into the root cause of these toxic environments we're experiencing everywhere? All the commentary offering solutions isn't really helping until we understand the cause. We can see that none of these solutions are working - things keep getting worse.

So you may be reading this and thinking - what's she talking about? We all know the cause of these huge shifts in the workplace - Covid-19. But the virus is also a result of our behavior leading up to it. You can argue that the reason for the violence we see in the US is because it's easy to buy weapons there, or that the reason for substance abuse is that there's no way to control what people do in the privacy of their own home. But what got us here? Why do humans feel a need to be violent toward each other? What is so bad about our lives that we have so much alcoholism, drugs, depression and suicide?

Is everything in our world as random as leaves blowing in the wind? Or are we basing our thinking on things like the law of development, and social evolution?

There is a war taking place right now in Ukraine and all the commentary is based on what's happening. No one is talking about the root cause of war, and why we still have to resort to this primitive way of solving things in 2022. If we understood the root cause of this hatred between the two nations, we would already be on the path to solving the conflict.

Is everything in our world as random as leaves blowing in the wind? Or are we basing our thinking on things like the law of development, and social evolution? Since we have those things we need to understand what their purpose is. Until we become truly aware of these social processes, everything will continue to deteriorate.

It's really upsetting because on the one hand we are capable of doing so many incredible things. But on the other hand, we're still solving our conflicts in the most primitive manner - by going to war like street gangs. We have all this tech and sophistication, but in our hearts something else entirely is happening. How can we lead normal sustainable lives in this manner? Why aren't all the thought leaders starting to ask the real questions? Until we understand this ambivalence in each and every one of us, and agree with it, we will not be able to advance.

Until we understand this ambivalence in each and every one of us, and agree with it, we will not be able to advance.

We have one part of us pulling us to groundbreaking achievements. And another part of us pulling us to the darkest places. It's actually unbelievable that we've survived till now.

The Never Ending Battle

So you want a war? Go to war against the ego. Fight the ego. Don't fight each other.

You want a war? Go to war against the ego. Fight the ego. Don't fight each other.

The same goes for the workplace where there is a huge clash of egos every second of every day - what are you going to do about it? What good are all the suggestions in the articles if none of them even know the root cause of these bad feelings we have toward one another?

We are living in a closed deterministic system, so we're going to have to get to the bottom of this. Money and tanks won't fix any of these problems. From now on the strength of our human connection will determine everything else.
