We are?undergoing a revolution that will affect every woman, man and child on the planet.
The World Economic Forum says that 10% of Global GDP will be transacted on the Blockchain within a few years. What people don't know is that it is already being used in industry today, by smart people who like the idea of competitive advantage and evolving innovation.
Intelligent agents and blockchain applications are already being used in: Business, Financial Services, Retail, Legal, Accounts, Insurance, Supply Chains, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Government, Energy, Advertising, Construction, in Art, in Shipping, in Carbon offsets and in Waste Management.?It might be better to ask - which industry does the Blockchain and AI not affect?
So who cares and why should we care?
Well you might care if you are in business and you think that it will generate huge profits. You may care if you are lawyers or accountants who would like to stay in business for the foreseeable future. You might care if you an energy company that wants to be at the forefront of technology and keep your customers. You might also care if you consider that it will help to bring about better healthcare, mental acuity, a better education and a more fulfilled?workforce which is both dynamic and caring in their relationships with fellow human beings. The advent of AI and these new technologies will help the economy to become more robust and profitable and will free up the ‘slave mentality’ that seems to pervade the downtrodden, the world over.?
Let’s look at the bigger picture.
The human brain is the most advanced computer that we know, however, there is every indication that this will be augmented by a more advanced computational brain. This will come about as the result of a number of factors - Moore’s law leading to the exponential growth of computing power (Quantum Computers); the explosion of the Internet, the Internet of Things, Blockchain technology and Big Data, and the rapid development of AI Algorithms. The advent of securing data from threats is looming and will affect every part of our economy. Blockchain arguably is the most secure system around. The hacks in Crypto currency that we hear about are occurring at the Wallet stage - not in the Blockchain itself. In any event we need to use the best technology around to prevent the misappropriation or corruption of data, right??
These technologies are, in some respects, mimicking nature, as in the ‘game of nature’ - in the same way that atoms have no bias and evolutionary forces favour organisms that can adapt and grow to new circumstances or environments. We have new un-compromised objective data that will facilitate new forms of trusted interactions, that in turn will create new conditions for wealth and fairer distribution systems. A co-operative society.
Can AI predict a scientific discovery that will benefit humankind? AI already has - in many fields of science - and this will continue unabated. What we need is to have an understanding of the collaborative technologies and the benefits to industry and society as a whole. Where are the opportunities?
Artificial Intelligence needs data so that it can learn. Examples like Alpha Zero and Alpha Go (Deep Mind) are only the tip of the iceberg (see previous article on AI and Blockchain) in terms of capability, so let me ask, why wouldn't we want better food production, or a better cleaner environment? Perhaps a new propulsion system to take us to Mars and back in a few weeks? It’s all do-able with AI. Why wouldn't we want to remove modern day slavery? If we consider that probably 40% of our charitable donations go to ‘suspect pockets’ - why on earth should we allow this to happen. Why is Fair Trade not properly workable - becoming simply a badge of convenience that businesses buy - so they can sell their goods, while the farmer gets little - because of all the so called ‘admin or registration costs’. Why wouldn't we want to create a better, fairer society, a real democracy that embraces everyone. A co-operative society based on trust (blockchain technology) - means that we can be more tolerant. The perpetual wars that humankind face are about a lack of trust. What if we could change all that and change perceptions?
Imagine a future where we can trust others no matter what race, culture, religion or creed? Our children growing up in a less fearful environment. What’s not to like?
This is what AI and technologies like Blockchain can give us. Instead of fearing technology, we need to embrace and learn from this collaborative and trustworthy technology.?It calls for a new type of compassion and leadership, a new vision of the future. These technologies can help us to create a better future for everyone.
Social Science (social Innovation), Industry and Natural Science are now converging. Blockchain finally helps to give us objectivity?- proof of state (subjective) becomes proof of work (actual).
The real prize is having a world that is not dominated by greed but upholds individual freedoms and respects and values others as human beings. A co-operative world needs technologies that facilitate co-operation through trusted contractual communications.

How do I find out more and get involved?
We are part of a UN Research Lab which measures co-operation and social?value. The process evaluates industry and its non-transactional values. We need to expand our understanding and models of value so that they encompass people’s time and wellbeing. The old way of seeing purely monetary value in things is not sustainable in the long term - why? First and foremost it has to be agreed that the ‘currency' can be transacted - and placing a value on human life in purely monetary terms debases our ability to grow as the human race. What price do we place on disposing of poisonous waste? or the cutting down of forests? or pollution, isn’t it everyone’s responsibility?
The capitalist system of?owning the means of production at any cost is no longer sustainable. The capacity to motivate people and to evolve as a species, to co-exist, should concern everyone. This is not a criticism of capitalism since it brought us the technological investment we need and choice that will give us the opportunity to prosper and create a better society, at the same time. We can stick our heads in the sand and pretend that the revolution will never affect us - or we can embrace the promise that technology and empowerment of the human race is in our dna, our future.
Collaborative Leadership and Technology Innovation Courses.
Our Collaborative Leadership and Technology Innovation courses are non-political (indeed, the Darwin Matrix is used to resolve political disputes) and designed to open minds to ‘what is innovation’ and alternative business models that encompass real and measurable value from people. How and when should we incorporate technologies like Blockchain? How can the Internet of Things help us to have better lives? How do we measure value? How do recognise opportunities. How do we involve pre-conscious learning so that we are prepared for creative insights? This understanding requires a new paradigm shift that creates dynamics in industry but values and frees up technologists and individuals so that they can be more creative, contribute more effectively, recognise each other’s self worth, their contributions, to be more responsible, more articulate and compassionate towards each other.?
We look at the opportunities for management that AI, Blockchain and the Internet of Things can present, with emphasis on the creativity and pure dynamism that can be unleashed.
We look at how neuroscience and evolutionary processes can contribute to our understanding of how we might create a better future for everyone.?
This is about and evolving and changing society, our mindset, introducing whole brain thinking into our education system so that it accommodates and embraces AI and new technologies, so we are free from the constraints of our limited capacity for tolerance and objectivity. Human endeavours have led us to this point so we are not negative about past demeanours, rather we want to look to the future with optimism and compassion.
As Demis Cassabas (Deep Mind/Google) said in a recent interview for the Times. “I would be extremely pessimistic about the future of Mankind, if it wasn't for AI.” If you haven't had the opportunity to see what Googles AI Deep Mind (Alpha Zero) can do check out https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nPexHaFL1uo
On a global scale - we have been fortunate to be involved with the CCEG UN Blockchain Lab. This comprises of?the Centre for Citizenship Enterprise and Governance Think Tank which looks to recognise and acknowledge ‘non transactional value’ in organisations, to facilitate Blockchain technology and increase the propensity for recognising social value and individual contributions on a global collective scale.?
John, Heads the?Brand and Operational Value for Blockchain Technology and Artificial Intelligence at CCEG UN Lab and is an innovation technology consultant for corporations and organisations worldwide. His workshops inform management about the new forms of innovation and competitive advantage that can be derived from Blockchain technologies and Artificial Intelligence. Analytical systems that combine creativity, empathy, competitive advantage, new financial models, new types of business transactions, and technological innovation with compassionate leadership. A new type of business model in emerging which will affect every business, in every country of the world. UK businesses should not be left behind.
For information on the processes for pre-blockchain feasibility studies (what are the opportunities for your business or organisation?). The exciting possibilities that AI and the Internet of Things promises or the philosophy of the new era for compassionate leadership that embraces AI and the bright future in our education system. We have Think Tanks and blockchain consultants that work 24/7 on how Blockchain will affect the future of business models. What we need is a whole new way of thinking to prepare us for the future, a new school of thought, a new type of school to accommodate a new type of leadership... any takers? The universities and businesses that do not adapt quickly enough and embrace these technologies are likely to be extinct.
To register your views or interest in the well being of our children's future and the future of humankind! Or if we can help in your organisation's understanding of the challenges ahead. We are actively involved with bringing Blockchain solutions and AI to multi-faceted businesses and organisations, and have dedicated teams that analyse the benefits and model out the competitive advantage.
