My running target in the morning today was 5 miles and I know I can run without losing my breath only if I slow down but every now and then I was subconsciously speeding up thinking that I can finish off the running quicker that way and it will allow me some breathing time to relax.
And this does not only hold good for running, its true for many things in life. I know most men have this dream of working till they are 40 and make enough and then retire.
All of us have grown up with the story of the rabbit and the tortoise.
All of us know this wisdom that when we have to sustain the running, we got to run at a slower pace like a marathon, not like a sprint.
But why do we all get tempted to think if I run fast and run enough for myself or for the day then I can finish it off fast and relax a bit?
Why do we all tend to think like the rabbit, even though all of us have been brought up with the story of the rabbit and tortoise?
The old wisdom was given to us with this intention that it goes into our system and gets imbibed in us.

5 年Very well said in a very simple way the essence of life philosophy. True while you will slow your pace in respect of your morning running you will be able to enjoy the surroundings, the nature. Same applies to life. And yes as rabbit and tortoise story, you are going to achieve what you aspire.
