Why do so many intelligent women choose to remain single?

From my trauma-informed lens point of view, I think the concept of intelligence is a multilayered phenomenon.

Emotional intelligence in any relationship involves:

  • Investing in oneself by learning to stay grounded.
  • Moving beyond self-sabotaging patterns from past traumas.
  • Embracing conscious patterns that lead to thriving.

So, when you deal with intelligent women who have done their inner work, they know themselves and their needs. They've learned to love themselves. They've integrated and transformed their trauma into wisdom. They've worked hard to become self-sufficient and less reliant on men. They refuse to tolerate bullshit, games, and toxicity for the sake of being in a relationship. They know their boundaries and have learned how to enforce their "Nos!"

As a result, they are no longer trapped in a cycle of repeating the same patterns and wondering why. They have transformed their unconscious patterns, born from past traumas and wounds, into conscious choices, paving the way for personal growth and self-awareness.

Thus, intelligent women are often curious about life's hidden potential and unwilling to settle for less. They are more likely to remain single to fully explore life's joys than to confine themselves to the need for a partnership. Therefore, to these women, having a partnership is more of a desire, and having a healthy partnership becomes a priority.

Can they be intimidating?

Well, it depends (I'm not a lawyer here :)). I say this because men have all sorts of?mentalities.

An intelligent woman can be intimidating for some and yet a powerful turn-on for others, depending on how mature and confident the man is. A mature man has no problem with a partner who is more intelligent than him. Please note that by maturity, I am not referring to the age here but his mental maturity and flexibility in overcoming adversities.

Brilliantly said Dr. Helen (Heleen) Sairany ?? ! Building up on the inside will pave the way for so much and EI and growth mindset will allow you to soar to new heights. I did not plan on finding a partner so early in life but often things are put in place when you’re looking for it the least.
