Why do I help the Scottish Rite?

In 1957, my older brother Randy was born with Proximal Femoral Focal Deficiency (PFFD.)?Randy required years of expensive care that significantly improved his quality of life (and our family's).?My parents were able to take care of the other seven of us (yes 8 total), despite the financial hardships a large working-class family?faces. Thankfully the medical and orthopedic needs were covered first by the Shriners and then later by the Scottish Rite. If you or someone you know has been cared for by the Scottish Rite you know it's a first-class hospital but they can’t care without public support.

You can support the hospital's mission to help children regardless of their family's ability to pay by donating in my team's name (66+ Orioles) to the?2023 North Texas Amateur Baseball League Charity All-Star Game.?Companies can also digitally advertise on the outfield wall or even sponsor the event.?Your donation will get you a day pass to the great baseball and access to the Lazy River to stay cool!?The "kid-friendly" event will be held at Dr Pepper Ballpark in Frisco, Texas on July 30th from 830 AM to 6 PM.?
