why do homeowners chase contractors ?
Yes, this is something I often wonder when we provide a timely professional followup and estimate for a remodeling project and then have the homeowners tell me they are still (often for weeks) waiting for another or several other contractors to get back to them. We will always do our best at all times just wondering what you think ?

7 年Very true Marsha! Many times people are comparing apples to oranges with competing bids for products and/or services but they do not realize it.

7 年I have seen several causes for this, the first being many larger companies have taught them, you can get anything for less with their price guarantees. You just have to ask. They dont point out how the bigger stores can offer lower prices or what the customer is loosing with the value brand. More so though, it's a value issue. Consumers think construction is priced like a car, that they can get the same exact model from another provider but spend less. They simply have to invest more of their own time to price hunt. (Again, value issue as most of the people that do this put a higher value on their money then their free time.) I've had several of customers who buy product from me but go with the cheaper labor. Then when the install doesn't quite work out, come back to me because their expectations of their new product weren't met. Which leads to the you have to pick two of the three: cheap, fast or good. The other contractor is likely promising cheap and fast.
