Why do it for free?
Over my years on Linkedin I have offered a variety of things for free or at least at low cost and I find myself agreeing with some of the sceptical voices...at least occasionally. Those voices tend to say "OK free; c'mon why? What do you get out of it?"
I would like to say it is entirely altruistic - sharing 25 years knowledge in environment, health and safety management, 17 years in psychology and over 40 years in software development but the truth is that it is a combination of Amazon Kindle paying me for my book Psychology in Safety as well as my belief that if I provide good free content that really means something there is a chance that people will come back to me for other items that are low cost.
In that sense the free Psychology in Safety on Youtube and the book of the same name on Kindle subsidise my products rather than the other way around. This approach has helped during the corona virus lockdown as people seem to have spent longer online.
So the free stuff at present consists of:
A basic document control system in software.
Psychology in Safety on Youtube
Psychology in Safety on Amazon Kindle
Psychology n driving on Youtube
The actual products are
Environment, health and safety software at £300
Psychology in Safety training software for employees £25
me - onsite training £500 per day
So some thins are free ad some are reasonable, I believe.
