Why do customers fail & what is the Ground truth of Intelligent Automation?

A lot of so called #IntelligentAutomation companies over hyping or over promising customers with a lot of branding or catchy jargons to drag them to the pit, there is nothing special about intelligent automation but just another data extraction & data ingestion software.

A lot of customer often gets frustrated because of poor execution strategies by start-up product companies who lacks vision and just focuses on numbers and say “Yes” to every needs of customers and just delay the product delivery and making customer frustrated.

Needless to mention the job of an analyst firm is to create a working relationship with Product vendors and promote the vendor who pays well? which customer is looking or asking for source or authenticity of information produced by Analyst firms? Just by doing an online biased survey does the needful?

It takes years, time & great material to build product and product development never happens from day ONE and none of the small start-up companies offers you a fool proof solution to any problems. Product evolves over a period of time and they really look for sustainable efforts to reduce the customer issues by offering a robust solution and work with them to improve with a great learning.

Era of Robotic Process Automation:

It all started with BluePrism coined the term #RPA in the year 2012 and is it also the downfall of RPA with Blueprism acquisition of Thoughtnomy? Companies either lacks vision of building the product roadmap or too much worried about their competitor firms.

RPA companies are pretty sure they want customers to think that they do magic instead of selling software components licenses, do the customer know the actual cost of software components?

RPA could have stayed much longer but certain firms are derailing it by giving a lot of value-added services free of cost by devaluing the competition but they are not realizing that could be even fatal for their own existence.

What do you call intelligent automation? Just extracting text in a dynamic format of documents shouldn’t we call this as dynamic data extraction software? should the real sense of Intelligent Automation need to creating a different dynamic of executing the process without compromising the existing compliance? Since there is no market leader in Intelligent automation a lot of companies defining their own terms in the name of Intelligent Automation and in future, they do the same offering in the name of Artificial Intelligence, this is a big Joke!

Customers should not jump to conclude in product selections just in 3 or 4 weeks they should follow traditional approach of selecting vendors & should really test the maturity of vendor Organizations on how they are not changing their core offerings till the end of Technical valuation. Customers should really have a strict evaluation method of selecting a product and they should definitely consider a pool of consulting suggestions, technical evaluation of offerings, creating competition for quality outcomes & strict vendor evaluations from past experiences.

Software Automation is a trillion-dollar industry but with a bunch of comics at decision making are dragging this industry to the pit by allowing it to fail big, Customer needs a great attention and should not dragged along with the failing companies, agree?

On a thoughtful note, is Intelligent Automation really a Box full of surprises or Box full of emptiness?
