My last job was for an development aid agency with the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs and my contract wasn't renewed due to cut backs, so I needed a new chapter. Two friends each said they would love me to do some work for them... so I kind of rolled into freelancing for them and the rest as they say is history ??
