Why did I create EducationNext?

In 2020, my son and I made a life-changing decision—we left the traditional school system.

We knew that if we wanted to truly explore ways to live, learn, and grow, we had to break away from outdated methods that focused more on memorization than on skill-building.

The limitations of the system were clear, and we were determined to find something more aligned with the fast-evolving world.

Over the last four years, our journey has taken us through research, travels, and countless experiments with online programs and networks.

There is no single way to learn anymore.

Today, you can choose your own mentors, learn online, and design your own schedule.

This shift opens doors for young people to develop skills that align with their passions, paving the way for a future where they can thrive without being confined to traditional education.

This year alone, we’ve spent 79 days traveling, meeting individuals and visiting alternative learning spaces where people are carving their own paths.

What excites us most is seeing how AI and technology are reshaping education.

Whether it's diving into content from YouTube, learning from global experts, or using tech to upskill, the opportunities are boundless.

There has never been a better time to learn anything you want, leverage those skills, and create a career that gives you the freedom to live and work from anywhere in the world.

However, there’s a growing concern we cannot ignore.

As social media, entertainment, and cheap distractions grow, young people are at risk of being pulled off track.

Phones and social media are designed to hold their attention, often derailing focus and wasting valuable time.

If we are serious about preparing the next generation for the future, we must guide them away from these distractions.

Instead, we need to teach them to focus on personal growth, skill development, and building self-confidence.

This is why we created EducationNext—a publication and platform to raise awareness about the future of learning.

We are committed to helping people, especially young learners and parents, understand the importance of self-learning, staying focused, and avoiding the distractions that stand in the way of their potential.

Now more than ever, young people need to be equipped with tools and strategies to succeed in this rapidly changing world.

We believe that by sharing our journey and insights, we can empower others to embrace this new era of learning.

Our mission is to help people break free from traditional systems and guide the next generation to grow, develop, and thrive in the digital age.

Let’s lead our young people away from distraction and towards the limitless opportunities ahead.
