Why are diamond jewellery sales so slow?

It's no wonder that diamond jewellery sales are down when we know that people are led by what they see. The more they are confronted with something the more it can penetrate their consciousness. Fine jewellery is not being portrayed as an important item in the high street and therefore the fashion has stagnated.

The dominance is towards watches but we have to realise that if we want jewellery sales to come back we have to lead fashion instead of following. High street shops are in the perfect position to create the demand but it has to be a common trend.

There is such a concentration on watch sales in today's high street jewellery that they dominate most windows. The facts are telling us that it's time to stop concentrating on watches and switch back to jewellery.

The watch business is changing like it or not!

"The Apple Watch is selling at a record rate. Apple CEO Tim Cook revealed during the Cupertino company’s latest earnings call that Watch sales had almost doubled, year-over-year, and that Apple’s wearables business was the size of a Fortune 500 company." www.forbes.com 18/05/2017

How many high street jewellers sell the Apple watch? Precisely none!

Think about it. Do you think Apple will stop innovating their watch? Google will be making a big push this year with their Goo9gle wear watch. Where do you think the watch business will be in three years time?

Wake up and smell the diamonds!!!!!!!!!!
