Why Design Thinking while developing an app is the most Important thing?

Our everyday life surrounds apps these days, Where some get a Mobile app designed for their employees to perform better Some on the other hand look for a niche segment and help them solve a problem.

How important is design of the App?

77% is the amount of design element required to build a successful app. We call it UI / UX in our tech terms. UI is user interface, the basic design and UX is the User Experience we create through hover color changes or animations. Out-here the dilemma is how one should calibrate great UI / UX? My blog tries to address this from one word ‘Masses‘

Designing for the Masses rather than for Classes

According to Don Norman, the human centered design process starts with a good understanding of people and the needs that the design is intended to meet. Various companies, organizations and educational institutions have taken on this challenge and have therefore come up with models in order to provide structure to the process of human centered design or design thinking. Google is a Big Example. Ever wondered why is google the most successful platform on search even after YAHOO had 1st mover advantage? Designing for the Masses helped them find the way. Pause, just think about google and all you will think is white background with Font and Images falling out like chocolates.

Google has successfully kept on updating its design by updating itself on a continuous basis and deploys a lot of its resources to design thinking. It has taken a step to setup Material Design which has inspired more than thousands of designer to re imagine the concept of shadows.

Story Behind the Shadows

The most tempting User Experience is when a User feels the icon is real. The element its made of are real. The layers are popping out as if it was place naturally under the sunlight and the shadows made their magic, to allure your finger to touch them and experience the reality.
