Why DEI Backlash

Why DEI Backlash

Key Factors in DEI Failure

America has been a bastion of freedom and embraced minorities & immigrants of all sorts and made accommodations in every possible way. Before DEI, America functioned as a meritocracy opening doors for everyone who actively contributed to the society. Both corporate and non-corporate world has been mindful of accommodating minorities, immigrants and people with disabilities wherever possible, including celebrating ethnic festivals.

Looking at the big picture, one would think DEI is unnecessary as America has already been functioning under an unwritten DEI-like framework. However, DEI was forced upon the corporate world and the companies were forced to implement it by the overlords controlling the stakes. Corporate world dutifully complied for the fear of standing out as most of the executives neither have power nor stamina to take a stand even when they didn't like the outcome and the burdensome, non-value added, work in producing the DEI metrics to keep the overlords satisfied.

It was a boon for those who thrive in such activities at state and federal government entities. These entities inherently riddled with stodginess and bureaucratic layers found a tool and yielded it more wildly than the public expected it. Several leaked internal video communications showed how grotesquely the DEI enforcers talked about it as a way to get at whites, or those deserving through merit.

Inclusion of certain groups meant exclusion of some others with merit, or whites, specifically. Worse, there were even ads explicitly prohibiting white applicants. Can you imagine the stupidity from such an ad in India prohibiting Hindu applicants, or Arab applicants in the Middle East? People are fed up with DEI-gone-rogue.

Whatever the intents and motives of DEI policies, it has been hijacked by unsavory elements in the society. The public was completely shutdown from questioning the outcomes of DEI policies. And the unsavory elements relished in their unfettered freedom and has nothing to be accountable for, making it an unmitigated disaster on the society. The DEI enforcement & the outcomes turned off every rational and critical thinking person.

o DEI became a tool of division, anger and frustration.

o DEI turned into a punching bag against whites under misguided Critical Race Theory (CRT). DEI made discrimination against whites fashionable!

o DEI policies genuinely put peoples lives at risk with shoddiness of work, and promoted mediocrity everywhere.

o DEI thought process corrupted the school system across the nation where some schools started cancelling standard annual testing.

I am sure these points would outrage some while confirming others, but it is time to allow genuine introspection, and do better next time. Any policy or system that lacks checks and balances fails sooner or later!

I am relieved that this ill-conceived policy is coming to rest, finally. The whole private sector bought into it without any serious dialogue reveals a deeply troubling development in the society.

Absolutely agree! The evolution of DEI policies is crucial to understand. ?? Embrace open dialogues around diversity and inclusion. ?? Assess the impact of changes on various communities. ?? Advocate for transparent policymaking processes.

Excellente! This should be sent to Joe Rogan, so that millions would read its precise logic.
