Why Dear Perspectives?

I started Perspectives on a whim. One of my New Year’s Resolutions for 2021 was to write regularly, so I decided to publish a newsletter as a forcing function to keep me consistent. 18 months, 13,000 subscribers, and nearly 100 articles later, I have connected with tons of amazing people, many of whom have shared their questions and stories with me.?

I often get questions from readers about specific situations or other quick requests for advice that wouldn’t be long enough for a full article. Rather than answer those questions individually via email, I have decided to start a column. This will allow me to (with permission!) anonymously share those questions and answers with all of you.?

I believe in the power of scaling. A reply to one person only helps them, but with the same effort, perhaps others will find insight and guidance as well. For this reason, I will now be answering questions from readers in a bi-weekly advice column on LinkedIn we are calling Dear Perspectives. This will be a way for you to get a look into my inbox, see my answers to others’ questions, and, if you want to, even ask questions of your own.?

I hope this new column will help you learn a thing or two, get some advice, and find new ways to unblock yourself. If you have questions that you’d like answered or need advice, please don’t hesitate to message me via LinkedIn. All questions and answers will be anonymized by default (shared with just your initials or a pseudonym).?
